aly moyer

Raised in the Sierra Nevada foothills, Aly grew to draw inspiration from the oaks, pines, skies, rivers, meadows and mountains. She has chosen a meandering path, exploring lifestyles founded in creativity, adventure, and connection to resources. Her journey has landed her in Nevada City, CA, where she works most of the year as an artist (primarily in the medium of tattoo) and parts of the year as a wilderness guide.
Aly has been participating in, guiding and instructing extended backpacking and horse packing trips, for adults and teens, for 15 years. Her passion for wild nature and for facilitating shared experiences coalesce in the work of taking groups out. Aly believes that, in a natural setting with a safe community container, we can gain a vantage on life that is essential for healing ourselves, each other, and the environment.
