DESCRIPTION

This journey is designed to be accessible to those who have never backpacked before,

as well as to the seasoned backpacker, who desires to embark on a shared group experience, in a wilderness setting.

If you are familiar with this kind of trip, you understand the expansion that comes with

being out, opening to the therapeutic qualities of the natural world, and sharing in a safe communal container.

INTENTION

Venturing out into the mountains together is an opportunity to gain perspective on our lives.

Alongside enjoying a safe expedition and learning basic outdoor skills,

we will take time to practice stillness and observation,

to participate in shared journal prompts,

and give gratitude for the nourishment of meals.
..

If you are wanting to pursue clarity, ask some big questions, rediscover

parts of yourself, connect with others, reset, recommit, rewild...

these are welcome intentions upon choosing this trip.

There will be an in-person seminar on What to Bring & How to Pack

We will hike 4 miles to a lovely lakeside base camp, in the Grouse Ridge wilderness.

RE-INTEGRATION

Part of why we go out, is to return home-

carrying with us elements of transformation, insight, and renewed respect for the unknown.

Integrating our experiences is fundamental to their sustained value in our lives.

We will conduct a simple ceremony on our final day out, to hone in on what we want to carry back with us, into our daily lives.

There will be an optional meet up for tea one week after return, on Sunday October 23rd.
